Memory of The Town
The first part of the new permanent exposition devoted to the history
of Mlada Boleslav from the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th
century was opened in our museum on the 23rd of October, 2003.
 
A few spheres were prepared for visitors over an area of four exhi-
bition rooms. The first sphere is dedicated to the history of the
museum itself and to the building of the castle which the museum
has its seat in. The subject of municipal authorities and town buil-
ding transformation is introduced in the next room. A rich social
and cultural life in Mlada Boleslav is another part of the exposition
shown in the third room. The section devoted to the history of the
educational system in Mlada Boleslav continues this third expo-
sition part. The last room is mostly dedicated to the particularly
important phenomenon of the town history in the 18th and then
especially in the 19th century - to the rapid development of industry
and trade. The final exposition part consists of the exhibit of furnis-
hings in town flats at the same period of time.
The Country and its Changes in The March of Time
A newly opened exposition extend the exposition "Memory of The
Town".The new exposition covers whole one floor of the museum
 
and its separate halls are dedicated to various topics connected
with the history of the region. In this way visitors can learn more
about country administration, social life and village jamborees,
folk costumes, country interiors, industrial and transport deve-
lopment, agricultural production and about different country and
small- town businesses and trade.
